Position Impact and Purpose…
The Senior Programs Driver/Nutrition Aide Substitute at Pike CAC will work closely with the Senior Programs Manager, Senior Programs Lead Cook, Senior Programs Assistant, Senior Nutrition Assistant, and Senior Programs Assistant Cook to provide vital, high-quality senior programs to Pike County.
Essential Functions…
Complete, thorough daily pre-trip inspection of vehicle, and report any vehicle defects, damages, accidents, mechanical issues, etc.
to Senior Programs Manager.
Maintaining cleanliness inside and out of agency vehicle assigned.
Report hazardous road conditions to Senior Programs Manager.
Assist with loading and unloading meals/containers at the central kitchen for all meal programs assigned.
Assist with packing hot/cold components for home-delivered meal delivery as assigned.
Assist with packing Early Childhood, Summer Food Service Program meals, Summer Rural Meal Program and Produce.
Prepare hot/cold carries for Home-Delivered, Early Childhood, and Summer Food Service hot meals as assigned.
Deliver all Senior Programs home-delivered meals in Pike County and surrounding counties within a specified time frame.
Deliver all Early Childhood meals to site assigned by the Senior Programs Manager and assist Early Childhood Meal Time Aide with unloading containers.
Deliver all Summer Food Service Programs Meals to assigned sites and deliver Summer Rural Meal Program meals as assigned
Pickup and return Early Childhood dishes as assigned by Senior Programs Manager.
Collect donations from clients on the Title III program/Private Pay and return the donations to the Senior Programs Manager or his/her designee.
Maintain records of deliveries required by AAA7, Summer Food Service Program, Summer Rural Meal Delivery Program and handle confidential information in a professional manner.
Ensure proper temperatures are maintained during delivery route for all Senior Programs.
Assist with the Summer Rural Meals Program Farmers Market as assigned by the Senior Programs Manager.
Maintain certifications and attend required training per Senior Programs policy, Food Safety guidance, and funding requirements.
Perform regular kitchen equipment maintenance and cleaning as assigned.
Responsible for following all food safety guidelines and procedures.
Maintain the cleanliness of home-delivered meal, Early Childhood, and Summer Food Program carriers
Complete Senior Center cleaning tasks as assigned by the Senior Programs Lead Cook, Senior Programs Assistant Cook, and Senior Programs Manager.
Assist with Early Childhood dish cleaning and sanitization as assigned.
Complete stocking of supplies and inventory as assigned by the Senior Programs Lead Cook.
CAC Committee assignments, and other agency service duties as assigned.
Liaison between clients and senior programs.
Minimum Requirements…
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Job-Related Experience:
Valid Ohio Driver’s License, clean driving record, reliable transportation to and from work, insurable under agency policy.
Completion of program related and criminal background checks.
Proficiency with reading road maps and using GPS.
People Management Experience:
Friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor.
Licenses, Certifications, and Accreditations:
No specific licenses, certification, and accreditations required.
Preferred Qualifications…
Preference given to individuals with food service experience.
Preference given to individuals with delivery driving experience.
Preference given to individuals with computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Working Conditions…
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Required to stand for long periods of time; lifting on a regular basis; work in a hot area
Drive in variable weather conditions and enter/exit a vehicle multiple times each day.
May be exposed to communicable diseases and environmental conditions such as bed bugs, etc.
