PRN (3rd shift/as needed) Maintenance Technician/Security Officer

Job Overview:
The Maintenance Technician/Security Officer works under the direction and supervision of the Facilities Manager.
The responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician/Security Officer include, but are not limited to maintaining buildings, grounds, equipment, and utilities ensuring safety, and trouble-free operation of the facility.
Assists in remodeling/renovation of existing facility and working with contractors during construction programs.
Is responsible for snow removal from the Heliport, sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots.
Is responsible for the security and surveillance of all equipment, building, and grounds.
Makes periodic rounds of the facility and grounds to ensure the security and safety of the employees, patients, and visitors.
Must be physically and emotionally able to handle irregular hours and stressful situations with minimal absences.
The position requires coordination, corrected vision, hearing, the use of two hands, the use of two feet, the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, twisting, reaching, pushing and lifting items up to 100 pounds.
Must have the ability to follow oral and written directions.
Near-visual acuity is necessary for reading blueprints and specifications.
Tolerance to noise, dust, fumes and chemicals.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provide security, surveillance, and maintenance of all equipment, buildings, grounds, and utilities ensuring safety and trouble-free operation of the facility.
• Acts as security agent during working hours which includes investigating issues and complaint and documents appropriately.
• Assisting employees, visitors, and patients as required in a courteous manner.
• Makes periodic rounds of the facility and grounds to ensure the security and safety of the employees, patients and visitors.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school graduate.
1-3 years in maintenance operations preferred.
