Duties
Duties included but not limited to:
Removes trash to a central pick-up area, relines trash receptacles, cleans and disinfects ash and trash receptacles.
Loads soiled linen bags into linen cart.
Transports recyclable material such as cardboard to designated locations.
Properly handles and disposes of all waste including general trash, regulated medical (infectious) waste, chemotherapy waste and hazardous waste (mercury spills).
Dust mops, wet mops, buffs, spray buffs, scrubs, strip and refinish floors.
Assists in clean linen distribution and linen inventories.
Dusts, washes and polishes wood, metal and vinyl furniture in lobbies, day rooms, dining rooms, conference rooms, patient rooms, offices, chapels, etc.
Dusts and washes walls, partitions, doors, windows, elevators, stairwells and handrails.
Cleans and disinfects toilets, urinals, sinks, showers and fixtures.
Refills toilet tissue, paper towel and soap dispensers.
Changes out sharps disposal units as needed.
Changes linens and makes up beds, washes and disinfects mattresses and beds, bedside stands and wardrobes in Hoptel, MOD, and POD suites, CLC, Medical/Surgical, ICU, Domiciliary Units and Urgent Care.
Maintains adequate supply levels and properly stores and safeguards all supplies and equipment.
