Adena Health System welcomes all Registered Nurses with less than one year of experience to apply to our RN Transition Program.
Our transition to practice modeled is designed to assist with easing you from your academic studies to patient assignments that is a combination of didactic instruction/simulation lab, individualized clinical cohort-style education to include 1:1 patient assignments, basics of charting, bedside report, best practice communication skills with patients, physicians, and family members, shadowing experiences,multi-disciplinary roundtable discussions, and role progression opportunities.
Assigned mentor/Preceptor that will assist you as you complete the final weeks of working on building your skills as you prepare to take on your solo patient assignments.
This mentor will follow your journey through your first year of practice with Adena with established meetings.
Our goal for you at the completion of the program is a confident and compassionate Caregiver that is equipped with education, critical thinking skills and knowledge of the support provided by mentors, co-caregivers, and leaders alike.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Active RN license in the State of Ohio ( not required to apply or interview)
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduate from accredited School of Nursing.
Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
