Job Description
OBJECTIVE: Works directly with Child Support Enforcement Agency serving the public through effective implementation of federal/state regulations
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary duties include:
Answers phones which involves referring calls/customers to appropriate worker, providing routine information concerning child support program.
Receives calls from clients or requests from case managers regarding missing payments, researches and attempts to resolve issues which involve contacting employers, reports findings to clients/case managers for further action if appropriate.
Receives calls from clients regarding allocation of payments, researches and provides information.
Communicates as necessary with employers, clients and other agencies.
Provides routine forms, documents and information to clients.
Opens, date stamps, and scans mail and distributes to appropriate staff.
Prepares outgoing mail.
Performs miscellaneous “specialized” clerical tasks within the unit.
Prepares case files, transfers closed cases to closed files.
Enters data into computer system, Support Enforcement Tracking System( SETS ), i.
e.
running record comments.
RMS coordinator for the CSEA.
SIVS contact person
Collects, reviews and processes child support payments received in the form of personal check or money order in the SMART Remote system, noting the collection details in SETS running record for each case payment received.
Issues payment receipts in return for payments and imports receipt in EDMS.
The employee must possess the skills and ability to cope with diverse environments, health hazards and personal safety issues, including aggressive behaviors
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED required.
One year relative experience in office setting preferred.
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license in accordance with County policy and motor vehicle insurance.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
