*Position Impact Summary:*
The Staff Engineer will be responsible for design reviews and simple mechanical designs.
This engineer will also be responsible for technical support.
And plan and design product applications and will be responsible for organizing complex activities for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects within a tier-one automotive supplier machining manufacturing facility.
*Essential duties and responsibilities:*
· Commitment to YSK objectives regarding safety, quality, cost, delivery, and management according to the department business plan
· Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods
· Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs
· Transition products from product development to mass production
· Assist in the review of contractor plans, including goals, objectives and schedules, and timelines
· Budgeting
· Provide technical direction and support
· Serves as business liaison
· Attends briefings with Sr.
Management and assists in problem resolution
· Design and test electronic products
· Write test procedures
· Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency
· Develops and test various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
· Attend shift meetings and others applicable to the position
· 5S (Sort, Set-in-Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) your work space and 5S duties as assigned
· Perform other tasks as assigned

*Education and work experience:*
· B.
S.
degree preferred in the Engineering field but an Associate degree in the electrical or mechanical field and a minimum of four (4) years of experience and/or training is acceptable
· Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods
· Strong machining, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical skills - PLC and CNC skills.
· Lean manufacturing techniques.
