The current opportunity would work out of our Greenfield, OH location.
The Opportunity:
This position is for 2nd Shift Production Lead depending on education and experience.
This is an hourly position that does involve direct management of people.
In this role, you will report to the Production Supervisor.
Your focus will be the safety and productivity of all production associates and the security of plant for designated shift.
Accountable for ensuring scheduled production is completed in timely manner within all quality parameters by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to and administer company policies and procedures, including Safety, Quality, and EMS
Follow standardized work instructions.
Fully participate in and support the Corvac Quality System
Provide training and direction to associates and place them where needed.
Ensure daily production and quality are met.
Ensure production paperwork is completed properly and submitted by the end of shift.
Authorize minor process changes.
Communicate and oversee repair priorities to Maintenance!
Provide effective shift-to-shift communications.
Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality.
Relieve production operators when needed.
Enforce 5S, maintain clean and well-organized workstations that promote productivity and efficiency.
Train new employees and coach existing employees
Investigate and report all incidents and associate concerns to appropriate personnel.
Encourage team efforts and supportive attitudes between coworkers.
Monitor employee scheduling and attendance
Performance Management: Provide performance feedback, conduct, and administer performance reviews, and disciplinary action.
Maintain Company and personnel confidentiality.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
BACKGROUND REQUIRED:
Reading, writing, communication, and math skills
Be able to stand, walk, bend and twist up to 12-hour shift.
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Be able to use and read a tape measure.
Basic knowledge of all machines and lines and ability to perform all production jobs.
Strong interpersonal skills
Proven ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Self-motivated with problem-solving knowledge and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
High school diploma/GED preferred.
2+ years of Manufacturing Experience
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to make decisions and communicate to the appropriate personnel.
Must be customer oriented and courteous.
Efficiency in AS400 database system (CMS), as well as Microsoft Excel & Word
Previous Leadership experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing
Forklift License / Certification
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
