At Bellisio Foods, the R&D group is responsible for developing products from concept to commercialization.
The Food Technologist plays a key role in delivering excellence in product development and production quality execution to ensure flavor, functionality and innovation.
Essential Functions
Lead development of new and existing formulas across our frozen food products, while delivering on quality, cost, and commercialization expectations
Agility in delivering exceptional product quality on aggressive timelines.
A sense of urgency with high quality output is essential to the success of this position
Basic Understanding of ingredient functionality, food science, and processing for optimal development of the specified product application
Ability to translate internal, consumer and customer direction into products that meet the financial, flavor, and functionality goals
Uphold best practices for bench top development, formulations, and lab standards
Strong professional integrity and ethics
Work closely with Regulatory and Labeling & Specifications teams to ensure all regulatory, nutritional, labeling goals are achieved through development
Collaborate with Commercialization and Operation teams to ensure an efficient translation of product formulas to Bellisio Foods production facilities
Partner with ingredient and co-manufacture vendors to achieve development goals
20-40% travel required to production facilities and customer presentations

Requirements
0-2 years of product development and/or commercialization experience; intern experience preferred
BS Degree in Food Science, Engineering (Food/Process/Chemical) or related field
Culinary or frozen food manufacturing experience is a plus
Location
