Job Description: Machine Operator lvl 2-Wood

Overview:
The Machine Operator lvl 2 will use different equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging and other steps along the production process.
A Machine Operator is expected to safely operate machinery and power tools.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Employees must understand and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Maintain good workstation housekeeping.
Produce with quality and efficiency securing shipments go out on or before committed date.
Perform autonomous maintenance (Cutting area equipment)
Operate panel saw for undercuts of door width and length.
Operate re-rail/re-style equipment (Power Matic Shaper, planner, router, belt sander)
Operate miter saw.
Operate KVAL Door machine.
Provide training to new employees as required.
Any other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Successful candidates have shown a good performance record
Working knowledge and experience of production flow and processes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Physical Requirements:
Lift 1-30# frequently (up to 50% in an 8-hour day)
Lift 30-60# regularly (up to 30% in an 8-hour day)
Lift 60+# occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
Push/Pull 100# with assistance seldom (up to 13% in an 8-hour day)
Kneel occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
Squat occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
Stoop frequently (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
Work with extended arms seldom (up to 13% in an 8-hour day)
Stand in one spot for long periods
Education & Experience:
A High School Diploma or GED certificate
2 years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience working with Woodworking equipment a plus.
