Requisition Summary Kenworth has an immediate opening with excellent career growth opportunity in the Chillicothe Manufacturing Engineering Department.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain operational experience in heavy truck manufacturing, and work in a dynamic, challenging, team environment.
Job Functions / Responsibilities • Responsible for project administration of annual capital budget program.
Includes creation of capital projects for submittal.
Coordination of the annual capital budget timeline progression for the plants submittal with Division capital budget coordinator and submission requirements.
This role also helps develop and maintain the 5 year capital budget plan for the facility.
• Responsible to maintain running capital and expense budget tracking for each active capital budget project ensuring the project managers stay under budget.
This role interfaces with accounting on invoice reconciliation and monthly CBSR creation for month end summaries.
At the end of the year, this role coordinates the annual carryover forecast submittal to Division for any projects requiring extensions.
This role is required to summarize and report project performance monthly as well as at year end to plant staff.
• Responsible for administration of the Kenworth Chillicothe critical process document system.
This includes managing and maintaining the creation, integrity, and revisions of process documents.
This also includes developing, managing, and scheduling the quarterly and bi-annual audits for critical and non-critical documents along with the corrective action system.
This role is actively involved in audits performed internally and externally through ISO and Paccar audit programs.
This role is required to summarize and report performance monthly as well as at year end to the plant steering committee.
• Additional activities include report generation, data entry, office supplies, office communications, meeting scheduling and coordination, and overall support for the groups.
• Effectively communicate and present results and recommendations throughout the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, or related major required.
• Experience in either accounting, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability gained through 5+ years of progressively complex assignments.
• Proven team leadership skills.
High energy level, goal oriented individual.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, PC and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
• Self-starter with little to no supervise and excellent time management.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% annually, occasionally on short notice.
• Previous experience working with KW Division Manufacturing Engineering, Paccar Capital Budget Coordinator, Corporate Purchasing, KWC Senior Management, KWC Manufacturing Engineering group, KWC Product Engineering, Cost Accounting and Asset Accounting, and all KWC managers.
• Advanced PC skills with expertise in the Microsoft Office suite, Paccar EEA capital budget system, training document creation, and SAP.
• Must be able to use sound judgement / business acumen, act with Integrity, demonstrate adaptability, drive for results, and influence others.
DESIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: • Project Management Education background • Training in Six Sigma DMAIC, DFSS and Advanced Quality Systems desirable.
• Corporate Memo Creation, and Technical Writing Skills Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, or related major required.
